It's been a long time since I've last posted! I have been pretty busy with school and other activities, leading to not much posting.
There is a great magazine called Cicada Magizine (www.cicadamag.com) which allows young writers to publish excerpts of their stories or their poetry or photography/art. I just recently submitted a piece to Cicada and have yet to hear back from them.
Here is a little excerpt from the passage I sent:
This is a story about a British Spy whose code name is Lavender. It is inspired by the "Code Name Verity" series but it takes a different path. In this excerpt, she is escaping the Nazis who are after her and hides in a forest behind a farm. She later befriends the farmers as they care for her. This is a YA book of sorts. I wanted to write multiple books that could fit in the YA genre because one does not see many WWII oriented YA books; except for the "Code Name Verity" series and "Fly Girl", which I have yet to start.
Fun Fact: I have approximately 40 WWII books in my possession at this moment. Talk about obsessed! :)
I hope all my readers had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
Remember, keep on reading!
